Embrace the Struggle

Once there was a man who was carrying firewood and on his way to the market to sell it. While on the woods, his slippers had torn apart. He mumbled but continued on his journey barefooted.

Then he stumbled to the ground as he slipped on the twig on his path. He cursed and shouted - God, you are unfair! Why I who am loyal to you but was poor and still striving to find firewood and barefoot in the mud just to have my own food to eat while others that are rich and can have all the things that they wanted?

Suddenly, he heard a voice..."You are blessed, you are rewarding for your everyday struggles as compensation and opportunities are not given before the long journey. One who didn't experienced difficulties are cripple, as they are not molded to hardships and trials that strengthens their own self. My child, embrace your struggles..."

Why do we sometimes struggle on everything? Is there any way or option that we need to avoid it? Well, I guess not. We do sometimes need to struggle on some things, since obstacles strengthens and molds us becoming who we are right now.

When I am studying college, I had experienced some hard time accomplishing my financial expenses on all the required projects as well as during enrollment. But I didn't lose hope and tried to find some ways to fill all the necessary expenses. I served as guitarist and sometimes as altar server on our priest during summer in order to earn money for the enrollment. I've also applied as a utility personnel and part-time clerk on our municipal courthouse after my OJT for my daily expenses in school. Luckily, I finished my bachelor's degree on my own effort and exertion. What I am right now is a product of struggles and hardships.

Life is full of struggles and strife. But remember that obstacles and difficulties develop strength and greatness.
If you are having difficulties right now... just have faith in GOD and in your own capabilities - trust me, you can overcome it!

Perstaym

Hi there! It's my first time to start and write a blog about all the doze of experiences that I had for the past 32 years of my life. Akalain mo yun, dapat pala dapat noon ko pa ito ginawa. I have many things to express at, many things and people I inspired most, and many experiences to share with that we can be expressed and asserted more through writing. At first I was hesitant but then, I am inspired by an old friend of mine when I saw and read her blog and I realized - well, this could be the start...

Most of us have our first encounters - first time mainlab, syempre kadugtong na dun ung first kiss (naks!), ung first time na malate sa trabaho, first time maholdap, first time magperfect sa Math ng hindi nagkokodigo, first time na mahuling nag-jaywalk ng MMDA, at kung anu-ano pang mga kafirst-time-an..... Some of which were annoying yet most of them leave their positive impressions. And the bottom-line is that we all learned valuable lessons from them.

Let's face it - most of us are uncertain on expressing and conveying our capabilities, na baka nakakahiya o kaya eh baka pagtawanan ka and the worst part is, if they would not appreciate it. But keep in mind that without trying it for the first time, there will be no successful careers, no gained achievements, no friends and loved ones on your side, and other stuffs that could give you never-ending frustrations in life.

As you walk through this blog you will read some of my first-time experiences and hoping this would be an instrument to inspire you to your everyday walks of life.

Maraming Salamat Po and God Bless!

"Overcome those annoyance and contraventions, have faith on every steps and HE will guide you on any outcome it may take..."
